2026 President's Message
It’s another case of where did that year go; with everything that’s been going on the yearly calendar there's always something going on. As I write this in the lead up to our Rural Ambassador dinner the show is now only a few months away.
First and foremost I’d like to thank all the committee for all their work this year, it seems we are getting a better grasp of our admin changes and it has definitely shown in how quickly we have been able to get things ticked off in preparation for this year's show.
To our sponsors, thank you for your support! Every bit of sponsorship helps keep the show progressing while we endeavour to keep the appeal for all demographics who come along to visit our show. A big thank you to the Northern Agri Group which is in their second of three years as our Platinum Sponsor; this support from our local grower group has been instrumental in setting up the show for future success. I’d also like to thank our gold sponsors in Nutrien Ag Solutions Northampton and GMA, for their continued sponsorship it has been great having two big local businesses supporting our local show.
A couple of big changes this year that everyone will get to see will firstly be our newly designed show book which the experienced Kate Box has created for us. I’m yet to see the finished product of her hard work but I’m sure all will be impressed with how it turns out. We continue to prioritise utilising local skills and businesses where possible as we want to support our local community as much as possible as we primarily want to showcase our local skills, talents and produce.
Speaking of talent, Jack Davoren has agreed to be our Rural Ambassador for 2026. Jack is well known for the flowers he grows at Chally Bridge Farms. I’m sure he will be a great ambassador for our show and wish him all the best in the Midwest final. For those interested, this year's Midwest Final is being hosted by the Mullewa District Ag Society on the 8th of August at the Mullewa Sports Club. It would be great to see a contingent from Northampton attend and support Jack and the other Rural Ambassadors.
A big draw card for all the kids this year is that we have been able to secure a good selection of rides, and we have also been able to subsidise the cost to go on these rides.
We had a lot of entries in last year's show and I hope this year will be no different, it would be great to see some more farm produce entered up in the ram shed so be sure to keep a keen eye out for those bumper crops around the district.

That’s all from me and I look forward to seeing you all at this year’s 108th Northampton Show.
Thank you
Lloyd Cripps
President
Northampton District Agricultural Society
